Will Celebrity Family Feud create a Family Feud over the Remote Control?
Celebrity Family Feud is premiering this Tuesday evening, June 24th on NBC. What to do, what to do? Too many new shows are popping up on the flat screen that night. Could Celebrity Family Feud actually create a real family feud over who owns the remote control on Tuesday evenings?
Celebrity Family Feud will be premiering against another new reality based show on ABC in the same time spot. It is a good thing for NBC, they decided to chose a game show project that has such a long standing history of success.
This is the Celebrity Family Feud, video teaser that NBC has been dangling in front of us for a few weeks.
We have Al Roker onboard as the Celebrity Family Feud host. Will he really be hugging and kissing all the females, like Richard Dawson did? It’s difficult not to get carried away, yet it’s going to be 24 celebrity families, or teams fighting it out for their favorite charities. Wouldn’t you like to see Ice Tea’s family feuding with the Joan Rivers’ clan? How about Dog, the bounty hunter’s family, thrown into the relative stew against Kathy Lee Gifford’s brood? Celebrity Family Feud could the hot ticket for a primetime game show battle of wits, or witlessness.
Al Roker is no amateur dealing with game shows, this is a real passion for him. Al Roker has popped up on shows such as Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and others. Back in the late 90’s, Roker even hosted a game show called Remember This?, for MSNBC. Hosting Celebrity Family Feud, is a match made in “game show” heaven for Al Roker.
Family Feud has a long game show history with us, that has gone through very small changes in time. Celebrity Family Feud, with Al Roker is sure to be a Tuesday evening favorite for TV audiences this summer.
This is video clip of the very first Family Feud moment, with Richard Dawson as the host. 1976! Hopefully, Celebrity Family Feud will prove to be just as insane, as the original.
